LetвЂ™s talk about a few quick tweaks we can make within the software itself to give ourselves a head start.

The speed of your computer does greatly impact the speed of render, but thereвЂ™s only so much you can alter there without spending lots of money on a new computer. Obviously you want to make sure your system is functioning at itвЂ™s best.

If you don't have a copy of Adobe Premiere Pro yet (my favorite video editing program), you can try it out for free here. In todayвЂ™s post weвЂ™re going to look at a few methods for speeding up your render process and overall workflow in Premiere that could end up saving you hours of time for your next project. It took each simple tweak several minutes to render before I could make another change to review. I was working hard to get the timing correct and iron out the details, yet every single time I made a change, I had to render the project in order to properly review it without dropping frames and being unable to view it in real time.

I was recently editing a project for a client that involved a complicated series of clips and effects at the very beginning of the film.

Test Flicker copy вЂ“ paste the sequence that you had edited.

Create layers and other settings that you had on the original file and do the color correction.

Once you have everything, now link the media files and/or it will automatically get linked once they are in the same.

Gradually you will create a new folder with all the files required to run and edit the sequence!.

Drag and drop all the media files that is required for that project.

Make sure you unplug from the main power and your machine is not connected to power or battery backup for 5 mins.

Shut down the machine and restart after 5 mins.

Close the flicker.prproj file and delete it from your desktop.

When you copy the file, do not copy any layers !.

Copy the nested file from flicker.prproj and paste it in the new sequence created on stop flicker.prpoj.

Now open the file that was saved on desktop i.e flicker.prproj.

Create a new sequence with the same sequence setting you had for flicker.prproj.

Create a new project on the desktop, lets name it вЂstop flicker.prprojвЂ™.

After 5 mins, connect the power and restart your machine.

Make sure you unplug the main power and your machine is not connected to power or battery backup for the next 5 mins.

Now remove the external HDD from your machine!

My editing projects are on the external HDD! Copy the Adobe Premiere Pro CC file that is having post-render flicker issues lets name it, for easy understanding: flicker.prproj on the desktop.

Most of the flicker issues are resolved with the above settingsвЂ¦ HoweverВ inВ my case it was not solved and I finally found a way out, it turned out to be simple andВ highly effective.

Render the file without any layers and correction to see if the raw footage is good.

Choosing the seconds from where the flicker starts and then deleting those seconds from the final footage.

Delete it and create a new layer & try once again to render can also cause flicker in the final rendered output.

The effects that you add i.e Gaussian Blur, cross dissolve, text layer, fonts etc.

Delete and rework the color correction! Also delete any layer you created and recreate them.

Optimizing the memory for rendering the sequences.

To empty or purge your Disk Cache: navigate to Edit вЂ“> Purge вЂ“> All Memory and Disk Cache

Clear the cache memory in the Adobe Premiere Pro CC settings.

Even I had tried most of these before I found my way to resolve the post render-flicker issue! You might have tried these couple of options to resolve the flicker issues, if not try and see if it works for you.
